Things Worth Watching

  • I’ve absolutely heard the name Oliver Sacks, but had you asked me, I’m sure I would’ve said—”he sounds familiar, but tell me more?” Turns out Oliver Sacks is a kindred spirit and a fellow empath whose work deserves to be heard and appreciated. Check out Oliver Sacks: His Own Life on Kanopy (free with your library card, yo!). (Runtime: 115 minutes)

Things Worth Checking Out

  • I’ve always loved chunky statement jewellery and have dreamed of opening a shop like Hitchcock Madrona ever since my trip to Seattle in 2014. I haven’t been able to find anything that drew me in like their wide cuffs until now. These emerging jewellery designers were enough to make me start using Pinterest again.

  • I’m absolutely considering the subscription fee for (not boring) apps.

Things Worth Quoting

You learn to live with your crazy enthusiasms, which no one else shares, and then you find a few other nuts like yourself and they’re your friends for a lifetime. That’s what friends are—people who share your crazy outlook and protect you from the world because nobody else is going to give a damn what you’re doing, so you need a few other people like yourself.
